Fike Wedding

Yesterday my best friend from high school married the man of her dreams… while it was difficult to accept my role at this wedding, at the end of the day I really was glad to be behind my lens.  This girl holds a very special place in my heart… “I’m most sensitive to your friendship” is how she described it once and she couldn’t have been more accurate.   From reading her testimony at her baptism to learning how to put air in a car tire this girl and I have been through it all. Torrey Furr, I am so happy for you. I pray that you and Taylor have a fantastic marriage and even better love. You have shared with me the most truest friendship I have ever known and taught me so much along the way. Congratulations to you and Taylor. I love you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness.  Thank you so much for allowing me to save all the precious little memories of your wedding day.

25 years later…

This weekend Mike and Becky Kosir’s family and closest friends all gathered together to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary at Manakiki golf course.  The whole thing was a huge surprise for these two, and upon arriving at the party they were completely stunned to see everyone there!  They had been told they would be attending a charity dinner hosted by the Cleveland Clinic and Relmec, and when Becky first saw children through the entry way…lets just say she was so confused she didn’t register they were here own children! 🙂 There were tears of happiness and shock and hugs were given all around to this amazing couple.  As their son had said while giving a toast, if they can survive raising him and his three other siblings they clearly have a one of a kind love.

The venue was absolutely stunning and made my job very very easy.  I am sure I will be posting more, but here are just a few for the time being!

It pays to have beautiful co-workers!

Today, with two of my co-workers, I traveled to downtown Medina to take some late senior pictures of this gorgeous girl! Tori is a senior at Highland High School but is actually already at The University of Akron taking college classes where she is planning to stay after high school graduation here in only a couple of weeks!  She has a contagious smile and I think we all laughed way more on this shoot than any other session I have done.  She is literally a photographers dream and I am sure you will be seeing more photos of her in the future!

Baby Alex – Take 2

With a super busy school schedule because of the end of the semester I am trying my best to get these first time parents their photos of their precious baby boy.  His mom, Shelly, had all these adorable hats that were made by someone in her family.  There is even a little deer one that I will make sure I post later.  Looks like I have a new client that can help me with newborn props! 🙂

Family Time

I love when I get to go home and spend time with my nieces!  Two of them have April birthdays, so natural they have to share their party date…which they love so much!! (total sarcasm)  Whenever everyone is all together of course the photographer aunt needs to snap some shots!  Yesterday was a a busy day for my camera 🙂

First Newborn Shoot! :)

My family welcomed a new baby into the world 12 days ago, and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to take baby Alex’s newborn photographs!  While every photographer wishes for the little one to fall asleep, Alex was awake and alert almost the whole time…he wanted to show off those blue eyes of his!  For me personally, it has probably been 2 years since I have seen a newborn baby and the amazement of how small and beautiful they are never fades even after being an aunt several times over.

Alex made the day a lot of fun, and his parents, Mark and Shelly, had the cutest little hats for him to wear that were made by Shelly’s aunt.  Here are just a few quick photos I am posting before I switch gears to school work 😦 (yuck!!) More will be updated as I work through the whole session.  But thank you St. Clair family for allowing me this opportunity!

…now they are engaged!!

I got to shoot with Katelyn and Andrew a couple weeks ago, and since then the couple got engaged! I am very happy for these two and hopefully will have the chance to take their engagement and possibly wedding pictures  🙂  It would be an awesome day to celebrate with this girl for sure! Congratulations to the two of you and I wish you all the best! Enjoy this joyful time in your relationship together.
