More hockey shots.  This game was against Kent State University, played at Kent’s rink on their campus.

University of Akron Home Opener!

I have the awesome opportunity to take pictures at The University of Akron Hockey Teams home and away games, and tonight was their home opener!  Out of the 200 plus shots I took tonight, these are just a few to say the least!  Its a very fast pace sport so its a little tricky to catch good ones, plus I am shooting through a glass with scuff marks and scratches!  But I must say, I am very proud of every single player on this team… especially number 61 🙂

Military Ball

I had the chance to team up with one of my best friends who also does photography for a ROTC Military Ball that took place at the University of Akron.  It was a really neat experience to see one of these events unfold!  Here are just a few of the many shots I got to snap when there! We also had a station where the couples could come through and get more formal/traditional pictures taken! 🙂

hockey girlfriend status ;)

Transferring to Akron this year I met this boy… well he became my boyfriend and it just so happens he plays hockey! I have done plenty of sports photography before but let me tell you…hockey is completely different.  Its an intense game and super fast pace, so capturing the action was a challenge! It was my first game taking pictures so I can only improve from here! I am looking forward to next season to get some real nice action shots. PS. mine is number 61 ❤ 🙂
